I Love Drugs

I’m still here…. I know I haven’t posted for a while, but I am still here and I wanted to check in.

Today is the seventh day in a row that I haven’t used any drugs for. Except for a little slip on Wednesday evening, when I had one of each that is.

I’m pretty proud of myself to be honest. It hasn’t been easy, but obviously having my methadone has helped me a lot. I’m on 60mls now, which I need to reduce down to 30mls.

Ultimately this is so that can start on a script of Buvidal, a long-acting injection of Bupranorphine that I can get either once a month or once a week.

I have an appointment with my keyworker this week to make a plan to get me from the 60mls of methadone that I’m currently taking, to the 30mls that I need to be on, before I can switch onto Subutex, then on to the Buvidal injection.

This is all a huge change for me. A huge, scary change if I’m honest…
