I Love Drugs

*Can I please just say straight off that I’d really appreciate feedback from anyone who may read this post. Thank you ❤️🙏

So, tonight I was sitting out in my designated smoking area, aka the Opium Den, when the mate I’m staying with switched off all the lights and TV in the part of the house that he’d been in.

I assumed that he’d gone upstairs to bed, because even though he hadn’t actually said “goodnight” to me, that’s not something he regularly does anyway.

So it’s dark and pretty quiet except that I hear one or two noises, so I went in, just to double check and confirm for myself that he really had gone to bed.

I’m so glad now that I did listen to that gut feeling I had that something wasn’t quite right, because when I went into the sitting room he was sitting in the next door room, in the dark, doing….??!?

So I said to him in a light-hearted way “are you sitting in the dark in there?!” And he replied “Did you think someone was climbing in the window?”

Then, he went on to tell me a story about a girl who lives locally who woke up one night to find an intruder climbing in her window…. then he said goodnight and went upstairs to his bedroom.

This is where I need the feedback, because to me that behaviour strikes me as being very odd and creepy. I mean what was he doing just sitting there, very quietly, in the pitch dark??

Who the hell does that?? Also the way that he jumped straight into telling me this story about this local girl. To me that says that subconsciously he wanted to watch me in the dark. Which he could have done, because of the way my smoking area is set up (me in a tiny room behind glass doors with a lamp. He could have stood in the kitchen and so long as he left the light off and stayed quiet I wouldn’t have known he was there.)
